  Chris Metcalfe of Broadland Aikido reported that the well-respected Aikidoka, Tom Moss 6th Dan, passed away on May 14th.

  Last weekend, the Big Three Aikido Course took place at Waveney Sports Centre, hosted by Broadland aikido Club.

  Death of the legendary great deshi and devoted Aikido shihan of Morihei Ueshiba is honored.

• Aikido Great Morihiro Saito Shihan passes

  It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Morihiro Saito Sensei in Iwama, Japan early Monday morning, May 13, 2002.

• Loss of Gilbert James, 5th Dan
  Gilbert James 5th Dan, a most notable 40 year veteran of Yoshinkai Aikido, passed away from a rare form of liver cancer, at 1:30 PM, February 26th, 2002. Our sympathies to his family, friends and students.

• Bob Gibbon of Australia Aikido Kenkyukai
  passes away, by Chicko
  Bob Gibbon, 5th Dan Australia Aikido Kenkyu kai, passed away at the age of 45. A service was held in Newcastle, Saturday June 22nd, 2002.

• Aikidoist Dr. Norman Miyagi
  Long time Aikidoist Dr. Norman Miyagi, formerly of Chicago passed away on Sunday May 19th, 2002, at 5:15 am of heart failure at the convalescent center of the Senior Housing Community, where he resided, in the city of Chula Vista near San Diego . . .

• Bill Sosa, 6th Dan
  of International Aikido Association
  Sunday June 9th, Bill Sosa passed away of pancreatic cancer.

• California Mourns loss of renown Aikido Pioneer Nobuo Iseri, Shihan
  Nobuo Iseri, Shihan passed away December 29th, 2001, exact cause of death at this time is unknown. 

• Fumio Toyoda passes away
  Fumio Toyoda shihan and founder of Aikido Association of America and Aikido Association International died of a bacterial infection July 4th, according to a notice posted by Andrew Sato, secretary of Aikido Association of America.

  Norio Mamura, chief instructor of the Milwaukee Aikido Club passed away Sunday, July 30, 2000. He was 82 years old.

• Takeshi Kimeda Sensei’s 35th Anniversary as Head Instructor of Aikido Yoshinkai Canada

On the last weekend of March, the Aiki Budo Centre hosted the very successful 1999 Yoshinkan Aikido Festival in London, Ontario, Canada. The featured instructor was Amos Parker, 8th Dan. (Yoshinkan). 

• Founder of Aikido in Chicago
  Dr. John T. Omori Passes Away
  Dr. John T. Omori, responsible for bringing Aikido to the Midwest, started the Illinois Aikido Club in the early 1960's.
   

• Death of Aikido Pioneer,  B. J. Carlisle
  B.J. Carlisle, head of Shiho Kaze Ryu - passed away after a long illness at his home in Leucadia, California on Saturday, September 11, 1999.
