Ikkyo Omote
variation #1
The attacker grabs for the
victim's left lapel. Note that in this version of ikkyo-omote,
the nage leads the forward attack by moving slightly off center
towards the right. Her weight shifts as she steps with left foot
backwards. This takes the balance from the attacker.
Within this movement,
notice that ude furi undo is
being implemented to lead the attack.
The arm is redirected back
in a dropping downward arc, as the nage moves towards the assailant.
The movement is an offensive maneuver towards the ribs, causing his
body to drop to the floor. The nage moves in to take attacker down.
