Iriminage

Morihei Ueshiba spent a
great deal of time and effort in the creation of Iriminage. It can be
very difficult to execute, as it is dependent upon the nage and uke to
have movement joined in unison at a particular moment.
Please note that the nage
has positioned herself close to the attacker, for the "ai"
of the technique. As the technique progresses, the circular movement
of the nage blends the movements together.
Without this joining, the
basic concept of Aikido cannot be met, and thus the technique cannot
be executed.
