C. Matrasko is being attacked by a
hand grab (katatetori). In her entrance to the technique, she chooses to take an
external entering - using tenkan. Continuing the direction of the
movement she turns further around, then drops her hips. The wave-like motion of the nage's arms and body momentum
from sayo-undo, sweeps the uke's balance upwards and then down. This
is truly a movement of great momentum, if used with precision timing
and only body motion.
As usual, in Aikido
practice - physical strength and speed is not a factor in effective
technique.
