The angle of this graphic
shows a strong tenkan and downward body motion is used to enter the
attack, during the down swing of the shomen.
Just as in ikkyo-ura, the
attack is handled by attacking the assailant's arm on the down swing of shomen. You can see the nage uses tenkan footwork and takes the
movement of the arm and uses redirection. The tenkan
movement facilitates further when the nage uses a
complete 360 degree turn to disable the balance of her
attacker. Then the kotegaishi wrist lock is used to redirect
the assailant to the ground. A standup pin is used to finalize the
technique.
